Write out the roster, disposition of each, champions, and such so writers (like myself) can know this information.

Well we do have Roster Lists that include Face/Heel Status and what Championship(s) that superstar holds.

The information is actually clearly shown on the wiki, at least for Smackdown. I'm hoping to get RAW, ECW, and FCW sorted tonight.
